Based on the study of the development characteristic of k_1d_1, in this paper the present capillary seal characteristic of k_1d_1 is discussed, and the results indicate that there exist the best capillary ability of k_1d_1 in the whole Wuerxun depression.

Based on the study of the development characteristics of K 1d 2 mudstone caprock in Xujiaweizi depression, we established a method for studying the capillary sealing ability for carbon dioxide gas by using the relation between the interface tension of methane water and that of carbon dioxide water, prospected the capillary sealing charactristics of K 1d 2 mudstone caprock in Xujiaweizi depression.
