是一类有机化合物，主要的是以氯原子取代甲烷中的氢，再通入氢氟酸中。
氟氯烃广泛地存在于各种较早的制冷剂中作为热交换介质。氟氯烃被压缩时会放热，而压强变小时会大量吸热。
氟氯烃可以在紫外线的照射下产生氯原子，作为臭氧分解的催化剂。因此对臭氧层危害极大。有研究指责氟氯烃的滥用是造成臭氧层空洞的重要原因。因此，我国政府已经全面禁止氟氯烃在家用制冷电器中的使用。
二氟二氯甲烷是一种经典的氟氯烃，化学式 cf2cl2，是二氯甲烷与氟化氢气体取代得到的。
氟氯烃化学性质稳定，低毒，部分略有香味
