Analysis on burst of high temperature reheating pipe;

Tubing leakage occurred of a re-heater at Fushun power plant,the relevant case analysis results showed that the leakage was induced by corrosion of the solved oxygen in the water under scale on the tube surface,which then resulted in thinning of the tubing wall and finally in perforation of the tubes.

Surface defects have observed on outside surface of four hot reheat steam pipe bends,on the basis of the performed inspections and analysis,conclusion have been made as follows :the defects observed on outside surface of the four pipe bends are laps which can be attributed to improper heating the ingots and improper rolling parameters.
