The mining practice is introduced in the fully mechanized caving coal face of large in clination,hard roof,soft coal,soft bottom and thinck coal bed.

The caving reasons of the rib area in front of supports is analyzed,at the fully mechanized caving coal face,in the hard roof,soft coal,soft bottom and large inclination thick coal bed.

Through the crack test of big soft coal samples from Wuyang Mine on real triaxial test machine,the fundamental mechanical properties of strength and deformation are obtained and the crack evolutionary way are discussed.
