In order to study the effects of combustion chamber geometry on combustion characteristics in a DI diesel engine,CFD software FIRE is used to simulate the combustion processes in four types of combustion chambers of the diesel engines.
为研究燃烧室形状对直喷柴油机燃烧性能的影响,应用发动机燃烧过程多维模拟软件FIRE对4类燃烧室柴油机燃烧过程进行了三维数值模拟。

Three kinds of combustion chambers with different ratios of diameter to depth were designed under the condition of keeping compression ratio of a diesel engine invariable,and the influences of fuel injection timing and combustion chamber geometry on combustion process,soot and NOx emissions of a diesel engine were investigated by using CFD numerical simulation method.

The photos of spray and combustion process were acquired by this unit under different injection pressures and combustion chamber shapes.

The results indicate the cooperation of CHG air supply angle and spark-ignition advancing angle as well as the combustion chamber shape are important to engine work process.
试验结果表明:供气角度与点火提前角的配合及主燃烧室形状对发动机工作过程具有重要影响;减小主副燃烧室之间的通道直径可以强化分层,有利于二次点火,实现主燃烧室内的稀混合气体燃烧,抑制NOX的生成。
