过氧化钾化学式K2O2,分子量110.2。白色无定形固体。熔点490℃,高温下分解。易潮解,跟水反应生成氢氧化钾,放出氧气。溶于稀硫酸生成过氧化氢;过氧化钾能吸收二氧化碳并放出氧气。是强氧化剂。在熔融的氢氧化钾中通入氧气,即有K2O2生成,在真空中加热超氧化钾到460℃,也能制得过氧化钾。
