性质:等多种同素异构体。其中Bi4Ge3O12为立方晶系,点群43m。熔点1050℃。在可见光、X射线、γ和α射线的激发下可产生荧光。激发光谱305nm,荧光光谱480~510nm,光输出温度系数-1%/℃,临界能量10.5MeV。具有良好的闪烁性能,不吸潮、抗冲击,易于加工,化学性能稳定,不存在因掺杂不均引起的发光强度不均匀问题。有效原子系数高,荧光衰减时间短,有利于快速计算。用提拉法或下降法在大气气氛下生长。为高能射线的闪烁探测材料,用于正负电子对撞机。
