For fast and accurate determination of total phosphorus, comparison tests between alkali fusion weight method and P-V molybdenum yellow colorimetry, as well as conditioning test of sample pretreatment by acid decomposition, were carried out, and acid decomposing colorimetric method was set up to determine total phosphorus in water quality stabilizer.
