产品性状
白色或略带黄色斜方针状结晶，易燃。熔点95.5℃，沸点278℃，相对密度1.0242（20/4℃），闪点125℃，折射率为1.6048（100℃），熔化热247.28J/g，蒸发热134.31J/g。不溶于水，微溶于乙醇，能溶于热醚、热苯、甲苯、冰醋酸、氯仿和石油醚。
生产方法
在高温焦油中，约含苊1.2%-1.8%。以煤焦油蒸馏分出的洗油，用精馏方法再分成各个窄馏分，从270-280℃馏分制取工业苊。
用 途
有机合成原料，经硝化可制硝基苊;进一步氧化可制1,8-萘二甲酸酐和苊醌，可用于合成染料、聚酯树脂、聚酯纤维;还可用于制荧光颜料，药品，杀虫剂等。苊脱氢得苊烯，可制苊烯树脂。
