性质: 绿色有光泽的结晶。易溶于水和醇,其水和醇溶为紫红色并有绿黄色荧光。用作酸碱指示剂,变色范围pH值0.3(蓝)~1.0(红);氧化还原指示剂;吸附指示剂,用AgNO3滴定Cl-、Br-,终点由红色变蓝色;在硫酸介质中,试剂阳离子与溴金酸络阴离子形成红色离子缔合物,用醋酸异戊酯萃取后,进行光度测定;也用作生物染色剂。
