混交林 mixed forest 由两个或多个树种组成的森林。主要树种以外的其他混交树种一般不能少于总株数(或断面积或材积)的20%。按所起作用可分主要树种、次要树种和灌木树种。主要树种是经营对象,也称目的树种。次要树种起辅佐作用,又称伴生树种。灌木树种主要起护土和改良土壤的作用,有时也起辅佐作用。选择适宜混交树种,是调节种间关系的重要手段,也是保证混交林具有稳定性和速生丰产的重要措施。混交林能充分利用空间和营养,改善立地条件,提高林产品的数量和质量,更好地发挥森林的防护效益和有较强的抗御外界不良环境的能力等;但营造技术复杂,单位面积上目的树种的蓄积量较小,不宜于特殊的立地条件。混交方法有株间混交、行间混交、带状混交、块状混交、植生组混交等。
