鲤 Cyprinus carpio;common carp 鲤形目鲤科鲤属的一种。体长,略侧扁;须2对。背鳍基长大于体长的1/3,背鳍和臀鳍均具一带锯齿的粗壮硬刺;身体背部灰黑色,侧线的下方到腹部淡白色而成年鱼近金黄色,背、尾鳍基部微黑,雄鱼的尾鳍和臀鳍呈橙红色。多栖息于江河、湖泊、水库、池塘的底层和水草丛生处。能耐寒、耐碱、耐缺氧,可在各种不良环境的水域中生存。在春季生殖后,转入肥育期,大量摄取食物,冬季游入深水底层越冬,入春后又转趋活跃。以底栖动物为主要食料,如螺蛳、蚌、蚬和昆虫的幼虫等,也食水草和丝状藻类。为暖温带鱼类。鲤是中国分布最广泛的鱼类。因其生活力强,生长迅速,食料来源广,能在静水中繁殖,食用价值高,多脂,味鲜美,而成为中国最早的养殖对象。经过长期人工选择,已培育出许多养殖品种,如红鲤、团鲤、肉鲤、呆鲤、荷包鲤、芙蓉鲤、镜鲤、丰鲤等。
