抚北镇位于临川区文昌桥区西北,地处抚河、宜黄河西岸,东南两面分别与临川孝桥镇、城西乡隔河相望,南邻临川区温泉镇,西北两面多与临川展坪乡相邻,全镇东西长3

公里,南北宽约5公里,总面积约15平方公里,全镇人口共计约1.1万,辖3个居委会,3个村委会27个自然村,农村人口5600人,居民人口5800人。全镇耕地面积6668亩,山地面积6000亩,水面面积2385亩。向乐铁路临丰公路穿境而过。

抚北镇全年气候温和,雨量充沛,日光充足,全年无霜期275天,平均气温12.8摄氏度,年降水量1675毫米,非常适宜农作物的生长。
