| 溯源侵蚀 headward erosion 河流或沟谷发育过程中，下切侵蚀不仅加深河床或沟床，并使其向上游源头侵蚀后退的现象。又称向源侵蚀。溯源侵蚀在河流源头和河口地段最为明显。河谷或沟谷源头，因河床纵剖面较陡，下切侵蚀作用加强，引起向上游不断侵蚀，从而加长河谷的长度。在黄土地区溯源侵蚀现象最为明显，因为黄土土质松散并多节理，降雨后沿冲沟向上侵蚀。沟头地区每年向源侵蚀可达数十米，这是黄土区水土流失的原因之一。河口地段由于侵蚀基准面的下降，可以引起河流下切，产生溯源现象，形成多级阶地。
