性质：使被蒸馏的液体气化的设备。构造与蒸发器相同。圆筒形，可以是直立的或水平的。一般与精馏塔结合使用，直接装于精馏塔的下方或塔外。装在塔外的蒸馏釜，以虹吸管和导管与精馏塔相连，塔底回流液可沿虹吸管进入釜内，而自釜中引出的蒸气则沿导管升入塔中。装有加热设备，可以是夹套式、蛇管式或列管式。通常用间接蒸汽加热，但有时也用烟道气加热。用烟道气加热时，蒸馏釜须砌于炉内。
