结构式PbI2
分子量461.01， 分子量黄色粉末或结晶，有毒，相对密度6.16，熔点402℃，沸点954℃。热时先变砖红后呈棕色，冷时复原。易溶于冷水，稍溶于热水，溶液为无色
（完全离解为无色的PB2+与I-离子之故）。冷却饱和液时析出闪亮的黄色小片状结晶。不溶于乙醇，溶于醋酸钠及碘化钾溶液（形成四碘合铅（Ⅱ）等络离子）。易形成复盐，由铅盐溶液与碘化物溶液作用而得。
