The experimental results indicate that under certain conditions of pulp potential the surfaces of pyrite are oxidized to form hydrophobic element-S0, as a result the pyrite causes self-induced flotation.

The main points of the new thchnology include adding lime and DDTC into mills at the same time, making use of lime's controlling and stabilizing for the pulp potential as well as selectivity of DDTC on minerals, the lead-zinc-iron sulfide minerals could get effective sparation.
该工艺的创新点是将调整剂石灰与捕收剂乙硫氮同时加入磨机，充分利用石灰对矿浆电位的调控与稳定作用以及在石灰造成的低氧化还原电位下乙硫氮对矿物的选择性作用，实现铅与锌、硫铁的高效分离。
