丝絮片 用丝纤维不经纺织加工而制成的薄片。清代段玉裁在注《说文》时指出：“按造纸昉于漂絮，其初丝絮为之，以G荐而成之。”就是说造纸开始于漂絮，缫丝下脚、茧衣、薄皮、双宫茧的乱丝等煮后漂洗，然后进行打击，置于竹帘上晒干。在竹帘上残留的丝絮渣片，就是漂絮的副产品，类似后世的丝棉纸。这类丝絮片早已问世，到了汉代才正式命名为纸。丝絮片是纸的前身。唐代用絮片制成铠甲。宋代用絮片制成的“纸帐”、“纸衣”、“纸被”。《渑水燕谈录》记载：贫苦的深山居民“常以纸为衣”。宋陆游诗云：“纸被围身度雪天，百年狐腋暖于绵。” 丝絮片制作技术传到日本，日本的民间用丝絮片来做“寒衣”，别称“防寒纸”。
