金柱塔，位于安徽马鞍山市姑溪河入长江口岸，为六角七层宝塔，建于明朝前期。那时当涂常患洪灾。风水家认为，姑溪河水逆向西流，于水性地脉不宜，需建宝塔以镇水口。县令章嘉桢在发动民众筑圩治水同时，决定建塔。限于财力三年无果。万历十七年，县城四条巷发现宋理宗时的窖金，嘉桢请求郡守陈壁，割金之半建塔。先购得新城圩民田为塔基，累土成阜而名之为山，所建宝塔，初名铁淋，旋改金柱塔，又因金助之功和弥补星垣所未备，故有“非金而有金助，非柱而有柱形，非山而有山名”之说。金柱塔内有石阶，游人可拾级而上，登临塔顶，俯窗凭眺。为全市重点文物保护单位。图为罕见之景金柱献瑞。长江
