用作增稠剂，参考用量约1％，使用时将10phr聚乙蜡加人到90phr甲苯中，加热90～100℃，迅速搅拌并使透明液冷却到60 ℃左右。加入冷甲苯100phr，迅速冷却成为分散液。然后继续搅拌冷却到30℃备用。WE型聚乙烯蜡也可用于制备热熔胶粘剂。贮存于阴凉、通风的库房内，远离火源。
