"天南第一泉"名叫"汉马伏波井" ,即一口汉代水井。
据乡人传说,此井原系方井,后人扩大为圆井,以砖砌成,井近处原有伏波祠,久已毁废,墙上嵌一石碑,题“汉马伏波之井”,署“乾隆辛巳”(清高宗26年即公元1761年)。据我国现代著名历史学家、考古学家、大诗人郭沫若1961年视察海南观看此井时证实,此井确为汉光武帝时马原将军经过海南时所造,距今已有1950多年了,饮尝井水,赞不绝口,诗随口出:“水泉清冽异江河,古井尤传马伏波。想见当年师驻日,三军朝汲定如梭。海盐含量百之三,饮此信之水味甘。十所于今沽惠泽,胜标铜柱在天南。薏苡烹来可作糜,军行用以止朝饥。功成人竟明珠视,古井无波水自知”。 “汉马伏波井”,夏日水凉,冬日水暖,十所村数百家汲取井水,即遇天旱,井水从不枯竭,自古水质清甜,故有“天南第一泉”和“感恩第一甘泉”之美称。"
