造山带 orogen 经受强烈褶皱及其他变形而形成的规模巨大的线(带)状大地构造单元。由一定地质历史时期中的活动带演化而成,并相对于稳定的克拉通存在。 地槽学说中的造山带是指一定构造旋回时期的大型长条形活动带(见地槽),在经历先下沉后上升的构造运动、并在强烈构造变形或岩浆活动过程中最后由强烈隆起的造山运动而形成,是地槽演化的终结产物,又称为褶皱带。板块构造学认为,造山带是岩石圈板块的会聚敛合边界(见海沟)上的重要地质标志,也是板块碰撞(见大陆碰撞)的直接产物。造山带的平面分布和走向是随刚性板块边界的形态和碰撞过程的不同而各异 。地质时期中的造山带具有以下特征:①都是强烈构造变形区,其中岩层强烈褶皱断裂,沉积厚度的梯度变化大,多发育大量的浊积岩、混杂堆积、低成熟度的碎屑岩和磨拉石。②沿造山带走向,刚性板块因碰撞有时可出现双变质带;在垂直造山带方向上因板块俯冲消亡,使火山活动的岩石化学组分具一定规律的变化,即由大洋向大陆方向,岩石由拉斑质钙碱系列而变成碱性系列。③造山带中的蛇绿岩套或蛇绿混杂堆积为呈带状分布的无根透镜层状体,并被认为是古洋壳的碎片,是板块碰撞的消减过程中洋壳成楔状断片的残留体,是古海洋关闭消失的证据。 |
