夏《湘江风雨图》卷
中国明代画家夏传世代表作品 。夏 (1388~1470)字仲昭,号自在居士,又号玉峰,江苏昆山人。官至太常寺少卿。善画墨竹。此图纸本,墨笔,纵35厘米,横1206厘米。画坡石和飞泉流水之间,竹树丛生,枝叶纷披,偃仰正侧,或隐或露,迎风摇曳,似临风雨。全卷长达12米,构图疏密得当,安排妥贴,大体分为首、中、尾 3段,每段又以泉石流水相连,有似断又连、起伏多变之感。用墨苍厚、浓淡分明,笔势既豪爽劲利,一气呵成,又讲法度,能熟练地运用书法技巧,使每一枝叶的起笔、收笔都不失矩度。石头画法圆润,有的地方施飞白法,受王绂影响,而厚重之处有过之。本幅右上方自题图名“湘江风雨”,款“东吴夏仲昭笔”,钤“东吴夏仲昭书画印”、“燕寝凝香”印。自跋:此图作于“正统己巳(1449)秋九月”,时年夏氏62岁,为老年精心之作。卷后有夏、王英、李时勉等题记。现藏故宫博物院。
