性质:半知菌亚门丝孢纲丝孢目丛梗孢科真菌的一属。其有性阶段称为肉座菌属(Hypocrea)。菌丝透明、有隔、分枝繁复。气生菌丝的短侧枝成为分生孢子梗,其上长出对生或互生分枝,并可再长出二级、三级分枝,分枝上又束生、对生、互生或单生瓶状小梗,其末端产生近球形、椭圆形、圆筒形成倒卵形的分生孢子。分生孢子以黏液聚成球形或近球形的孢子头。菌落伸展迅速,呈棉絮状或致密丛束状,一般绿色,菌落表面常呈同心轮纹状。一般腐生。广泛分布于自然界,在腐木、种籽、植物残体、有机肥、土壤和空气中尤多。也可寄生并危害多孔菌和伞菌等大型真菌。主要种类有绿色木霉(T. viride)和康氏木霉(T.koningi)等。是纤维素酶的重要生产菌,也是木材和有关工业产品的破坏者。
