为豆科植物白花藤萝的根。
【植物形态】
白花藤萝 攀援状落叶灌木，高1～2米。嫩枝绿色，老枝灰黄色。树皮常不规则开裂。嫩枝、叶和叶柄有黄色细毛，最后无毛。叶为单数羽状复叶，小叶9～13片，长6～10厘米，宽3～4厘米，卵形或长椭圆形，先端短尖，基部圆形至几心形，两面皆有丝状细毛；总叶柄基部微膨大，长15～20厘米。总状花序下垂，长10～15厘米：花白色，长2～2.5厘米。荚果长15～20厘米，密生绒毛。花期6～7月。 生于山坡岩石缝或灌木丛中。
【采集】
全年可采。洗净，切片，晒干。
【性味】
味苦辛，性热。有毒。
【功用主治】
发汗解表，除风祛湿。治风湿疼痛，跌打损伤，感冒发热，头痛鼻塞。
【用法与用量】
内服：研末酒冲，1～3分。外用：研末调敷。
【宜忌】
体弱及孕妇慎服。 大发汗过量服用，可产生呕吐，腹痛、眩晕、粘膜干燥、血压增高等症状。除对症处理外，可用金银花、甘草、红糖等煎水内服解救。
