   具有硅标明量的肥料。主要用于水稻,有时也用于甘蔗、竹等。施入土壤后能为植物提供硅养分,提高土壤中有效硅的供应水平。属碱性物质,兼有提高土壤pH值的作用。多用作基肥。田间施用的硅肥主要是含硅酸盐的工业废渣。施用硅肥的效果与土壤中硅的含量和形态有关。土壤中二氧化硅的含量虽然占土壤重量的20%~80%,但绝大部分呈结晶态,不能被植物吸收利用。土壤中的有效硅,即能溶于pH值为4的醋酸缓冲液的硅,其含量因土壤的成土母质类型而异。凡成土母质中含易风化矿物多的土壤有效硅含量较高;发育于花岗岩、石英砂岩、凝灰岩风化物上的土壤含硅量较低;质地较轻、土层较薄、淋溶强烈、酸性较强以及有机肥料用量少的土壤,其有效硅含量也低。缺硅的水稻土多为低pH或砂质土壤。水稻茎叶中的二氧化硅含量不及茎叶干重的10%时,即可视为缺硅,需要施用硅肥。
