In this paper, the author introduced exploratory statistical methods for qualitative data:its main ideas, its brief history, several schools for its research ,and gave some remarks on it.

At present, the main research objects on seasonal variations are quantitative data, but seldom concerning qualitative data.

And,the authors also discuss some new research directions concerning WWW query processing and the concept of data stability.

In this paper,a probability based method was developed for life cycle assessment(LCA) under data uncertainty,which included the establishment of the probability distributions for life cycle inventory parameters and aggregated potential environmental impacts,the identification of the key parameters with significant environmental impacts,and the sensitivity analysis to the key paremeters.
