 (仪式)禅林之语。与通常所言下火同,别曰秉炬者,因秉炬语长,下火语短,下火一人行之,秉炬数人行之。行荼毗式时,秉炬火为法语之佛事也。若用真火,则移刻易烬,故刻木炬涂朱为火之状,或用红绵缯造花著之于炬首,不点火。
