性质:硅酸盐工业的一个部门。以粘土(或高岭土)、长石和石英为主要原料生产土器、陶器、炻器和瓷器的工业。原料经加工成形、干燥、烧成(有时需上釉、烧釉或上彩釉或上彩)等工序而制得成品。化学工业中的生产设备如管道、泵、阀和吸收塔等,也可用陶瓷制成,具有优良的耐腐蚀性能。干燥方法有热空气干燥、辐射干燥、高频电干燥、微波干燥、远红外干燥等。由于精陶不易变形,干燥时采用竖放式悬装法,把盘子和碟子竖起放在箱式匣钵内。对于深的空心制品,如碗和杯等采用针顶式平装法。
