广角镜头是镜头的一种，视角比一般镜头广而焦距短，长用于拍摄面积很大的物体。
广角镜头的焦距一般为38-24毫米，视角为60-84度，超广角镜头的焦距为20-13毫米,视角为94-118度
由于广角镜头的焦距短，视角大，在较短的拍摄距离范围内，能拍摄到较大面积的景物。所以，广泛用于大场面风摄影作品的拍摄。在摄影创作中，使用广角镜头拍摄，能获得以下几个方面的效果：
一.是能增加摄影画面的空间纵深感。
二.是景深较长，能保证被摄主体的前后景物在画面上均可清晰的再现。所以，现代绝大多数的袖珍式自动照相机（俗称傻瓜照相 机）采用38-35毫米的普通广角镜头。
三.是镜头的涵盖面积大，拍摄的景物范围宽广。
四.是在相同的拍摄距离处所拍摄的景物，比使用标准镜头所拍摄的景物在画面中的影像小。 五.是在画面中容易出现透视变形和影像畸变的缺陷，镜头的焦距越短，拍摄的距离越近，这种缺陷就越显著。
