植物形态：多年生蔓生草本。地下有球形的块根，皮黄褐色，内部肉白色，茎细长，有稀疏的硬毛，缠绕他物。叶互生，羽状复叶，小叶3~5片，卵形或长卵形，长5~7.5厘米，宽2.5~3.5厘米，顶端渐尖，具细尖，全缘，基部圆形或广楔形，表面叶脉上疏生短硬毛，背面近于无毛，总叶柄长6~8厘米，小叶柄短，花绿色，碟形，腋生总状花序，萼稍成二唇形，龙骨瓣卷为一半圆圈，最长，旗瓣较短，翼瓣最短，雄蕊10枚，两体，子房和花柱无毛，花柱卷成半圆圈，荚果扁平。 生态分布：产我国长江流域至南部各省；多生于山坡林边，灌丛中或荒山草地。 药用部分：叶及块根供药用，春采叶，秋后挖取块根。 用途：性味甘，平。块根可供食用，能利湿解毒，祛痰止咳。种子可杀虫。用量：块根5钱~1两。
