性质:对解析所得粗结构中原子坐标等参数的精化称作精修。晶体结构精修的实质与过程可归结为在已有逼近真值的m个初始结构参变量(诸j原子的坐标、热参数、占有率)xj等的条件下,设法调节m个结构参数量,使n个结构因子模的计算值∣Fc∣最大限度地逼近n个结构因子模的实验值∣Fo∣的计算问题。精修中一般采用最小二乘法,基于对函数D≡∑[∣Fc∣n(x1,…xj,…xm,)_∣Fon]2。派生的等满足极值的条件,建立m个正规方程及相应的系数矩阵。待求的m个结构参变量的修正量可通过全矩阵或块矩阵精修导出。
