Some cultivation techniques of alfalfa for high yield and good quality in Minqin desert oasis were studied, some methods, such as species selection, crop rotation, sowing, fertilizer application, irrigation, field management and harvest were suggested.
在民勤沙漠绿洲边缘紫花苜蓿传统的栽培管理基础上 ,提出了品种、轮作、播种、施肥、灌溉、田间管理、收割利用等丰产优质栽培技术措施 ,为干旱荒漠区苜蓿人工草场的建立及苜蓿草产业的发展提供必要的技术支撑。

在甘肃张掖二中院内，是一座古典寺院建筑。是民勤县商人建于清光绪十八年(1892年)，作为聚会议事祭神的地方。大殿是会馆的主体建筑，古朴斗拱，保存完整。在一条中轴线上分布着大殿，陪殿，厢房，钟鼓楼，牌坊等，既对称，又陪衬，高低错落，气势雄伟。构成了古建筑物的特色。解放前在前院设私立民勤小学。馆舍至今保存完好。
