尼泊山
自马德巴市向北驱车约10公里，就是颇有盛名的尼泊山。尼泊山海拔870米，站在山顶上向西眺望，死海、约旦河谷尽收眼底。若天气晴朗的话，还可看到约旦河西岸的圣城——耶路撒冷教堂的尖顶和历史名城伯利恒；夜晚则可饱览耶城的万家灯火。据《圣经》第34节记载，犹太教的创始人——摩西在此度过了生前的最后时光，并在此升天。摩西在基督教中是仅次于上帝和耶稣的重要人物，同时也是伊斯兰教的六大使者之一。因此该地每年都吸引大批宗教信徒和西方游客前来朝拜、观光。
现在山头上的主要教堂建筑是公元4世纪初期建造的，主教堂旁有几个建于公元531年并绘有马赛克镶嵌画的墓穴。主教堂旁边还有一座基督教堂，建于公元597年拜占庭时代。尼泊山上耸立着一架巨大的象征摩西神杖的钢制盘蛇十字架，是1984年意大利佛罗伦萨人吉安尼·凡陶尼竖立的。
