According to the technological conditions of hot-rolled pickled plate,a mathematic model is con- structed to optimize the roll shape of temper mill,in which the distribution uniformity of the front tension in transverse and the contact pressure between mils is taken as the objective function.

In this paper,the mechanisms of formation of rolled-in scale and scale mark are analyzed which are the major surface defects of continuous hot rolled strip used for cold rolling.
