壳呈锥形,洁白或带棕色。螺层约10层。缝合线深,呈沟状,使各螺层呈游离状态。壳面膨胀,具有发达的片状肋。在体螺层的片状肋约有9条,其末端伸入脐孔内。壳口近圆形。内、外唇均稍加厚,其缘部向外反折。脐孔广而深。厣角质。
