性质:U3O8是最重要的铀氧化物之一。呈暗绿色至黑色。密度8.38g/cm3。1300℃升华。它是最稳定的铀氧化物,存在于天然沥青铀矿中。工业制取八氧化三铀的方法有在高温(800~900℃)空气中煅烧二氧化铀或三氧化铀;也可以通过重铀酸铵(NH4)2U2O7等铀盐在高温(800~900℃)下的分热分解而制得。铀工业产品的产量多以U3O8为计量基准。
