According to the geometry relations of steel pipe and the roller at the steel pipe transportation,we established the mathematical model of roller curved surface,using the vector analysis method,and inferred the concave curved surface equation of concave roller,which provided the theory basis for calculated the forced parameters and the optimized design to concave roller.

From the Russian steel pipe production situation, oil & gas transmitting linepipe output , demand and import, the new trend of the oil & gas linepipe development, the article introduced the general status of Russian large-size oil & gas linepipe production line construction and the linepipes used in natural gas transmitting main pipeline.
