在JPEG2000压缩系统中,位平面编码对于滤除帧间冗余信息发挥着巨大的作用,其运算量大概占到整个系统运算的70%以上,必须用专用的硬件实现,而面积和编码效率是位平面编码器ASIC实现方案中两个重要的指标,针对二者综合考虑,本文设计了一种基于“跳跃扫描机制”的通道串行位平面编码器,即在扫描通道之间仍采用显著性通道—幅度细化通道—清扫通道的扫描顺序,而在单个通道的扫描编码过程中,加入了跳跃扫描,即在编码之前进行编码预判,跳过那些不属于本通道的编码系数,从而大大的节省了编码时间。
