The 3-dimensional flow field of an oscillatory flow reactor(OFR)with orifice ring baffles,which had a complete structure consisting of five channels including inlet and outlet structure, was simulated with computational fluid dynamics(CFD)employing the unstructured mesh elements such as tetrahedrons,prisms and pyramids.

Based on commercial computational fluid dynamics software of CFX,the three dimensional oscillatory flow field in a baffled oscillatory flow reactor(OFR) was simulated using two different grid systems——unstructured grid and structured grid.
