直链烷基苯可由α-烯烃与苯进行烷基化反应制得。制备α-烯烃的方法很多,但作为洗涤剂烷基苯的烷基化剂,多数由煤油馏分通过分离精制,然后再催化脱氢而制得。烷基化反应采用氟化氢为催化剂,反应压力0.6~0.8MPa,温度30~40℃,苯与烯烃的摩尔比约为10。大量过量的苯不但可以减少二烷基苯的生成,还可进行脱烷基反应,使已经生成的二烷基苯重新变成单烷基苯,提高单烷基苯的收率。一般收率多在90%左右。副产物主要是重质烷基苯和聚合物,还有少量的轻质气体。(见彩图)
