性质:有邻(o-)、间(m-)、对(p-)三种异构体。邻氯苯甲酸,无色针状晶体;熔点139~14l℃;溶于热水、乙醇和乙醚,微溶于冷水,不溶于甲苯;对皮肤有刺激性;酸性强于苯甲酸;由甲苯氯代后氧化或由邻氯苯胺经重氮盐的桑德迈尔反应(Sandmeyer’s reaction)制备。间氯苯甲酸,白色结晶;熔点154~156℃;pKa3.83;溶于醇和醚,难溶于水;由苯甲酸直接氯代或由间氯苯胺经重氮盐的桑德迈尔反应制备。对氯苯甲酸,白色粉末;熔点238℃;pKa3.97;溶于甲苯、乙醇和乙醚,不溶于水;甲苯氯代后氧化或由对氯苯胺经重氮盐的桑德迈尔反应制备。三者均为重要的有机化工原料,用于有机合成。
