性质:高聚物从熔体或浓溶液中结晶时生成的一种常见的结晶形态。它是以一个晶核为中心沿各径向方向生长而成的。由于各方向上的生长速度相同,因而生成一圆球状的多晶聚集体。球晶的尺寸约为0.1μm到几毫米,通常为1μm到100μm之间。球晶具有双折射性并呈现特殊的Maltese里十字(Maltese cross)消光图像,因而很容易在偏光显微镜下观测到。有时还可以观察到具有一系列同心环消光的球晶(bended spherulite),这是由于球晶中径向发射的晶片协同扭曲而造成的。球晶有正负光学性质之分,当径向的折射率大于切向的折射率进为正光性球晶(positive spherulite),反之为负光性球晶(negative spherulite)。
