性质:萜类化合物之一种,有30个碳原子构成的基本碳架,大多数可看作是由6个异戊二烯单体联结而成。其烃及醇、醛、酮、酸等衍生物广泛存在于植物中,少数三萜类化合物也存在于动物中,如角鲨烯(squalene)和羊毛甾醇(lanosterol)。按分子中基本碳骨架分类,三萜类可分为无环三萜、三环三萜、四环三萜和五环三萜。
