性质:用水重结晶时,含一分子结晶水。熔点91.5℃(102℃)。用苯重结晶时,不含结晶水,熔点98~100℃(117℃)。沸点360℃以上。溶于乙醇、苯、丙酮,不溶于石油醚。与铁、铜、钴、镍和2,2′-联吡啶形成配合物,与Fe2+形成红色配合物,用高锰酸钾氧化得2,2′-二吡啶基-3,3′-二羧酸。可用作铜、铁的定量比色试剂,又可作为用硫酸铈滴定铁盐的指示剂;还可用作动物性纤维的染料。
