Based on synthetic analysis of gravity,magnetic and seismic data as well as geological and drilling data of central southern Cangxian uplift,together with a comparison with the proved Dacheng coalfield,the authors hold that there exist a lot of coal seams and coal strata in this area.

This paper studies the displacement rule of tunnel under excavation,the influence of time and space on the heave during the excavation,and proposes the affection coefficient of time and of excavation width as well.

An inquiry into the problem of upheaval in the bottom of the deep foundation pit;

The reasons of the bottom plate s upheaval,rupture, the reinforced concrete posts displacements and fractures in the clean-water pool and the rupture of the diversion wall of a waterworks are investigated and analyzed.

The results show that the upheaval of the excavation using the top-down method is about 1/3 compared with the excavation using the bottom-up method.
