性质:结构与天然石榴石晶体(Fe、Mn)3·Al2(SO4)3类似的铁氧体。呈体心立方晶系。常用的有Y3Fe5O12(简称YIG)及置换型石榴石Y3-xMx+3Fe5-yAy+3O12固溶体(M+3为与Y+3离子半径相近的其他稀土元素;A3+为与Fe3+离子半径相近的离子)。还有用非三价离子置换的石榴石,如BiCaV石榴石。石榴石型铁氧体通常电阻率较高,高频损耗很小,是一类重要的微波旋磁材料和磁泡材料。
