田螺科 Viviparidae;pond snail 软体动物门中腹足目的一科。田螺体大型,壳高可达70毫米至30毫米。外形为圆锥形、塔圆锥形或陀螺形。壳面光滑,或有螺棱、色带、棘状或乳头状突起。厣为角质薄片。雌雄异体。卵胎生,体内受精发育。除南美洲外,分布于世界各地。中国已知70余种。田螺为淡水群栖螺类,群栖于江河、湖泊、池塘和水田中。以宽大的足匍匐于水草上或爬行于水底。对环境的适应性强。肉可供人食用,也是鱼类的饵料或家畜家禽的饲料。在中药中称为田蠃,有清热、利尿的功能。有的种类大量孳生而造成冷却水管的堵塞。该科有9属。 |
