Leaf architectural and morphological characters of 28 taxa from Michelia, Paramichelia and Tsoongiodendron (Magnoliaceae sensu stricto, subtribe Micheliinae) were examined to gain a better understanding of the intergeneric relationships and the systematic positions of some species within Michelia.

观光木 Tsoongiodendron odorum 木兰科的单属种。星散分布于云南、广西、广东、福建、江西等省区。因纪念中国植物学家钟观光而得名。常绿乔木,新枝、芽、叶柄、叶下面密被褐色柔毛。叶椭圆形或倒卵状椭圆形,先端钝尖,基部楔形,托叶与叶柄连生,延至叶柄中部以下。花腋生,芳香,花被片淡黄色,有红色小斑点,雄蕊群超出雌蕊之上,花丝圆柱状;雌蕊9~12,覆瓦螺旋状排列,受精后全部愈合发育成肉质的聚合果,聚合果卵状椭圆形,下垂,干后厚木质,不规则开裂脱落,果轴宿存。木材纹理直,结构细,质轻软,易加工,干燥后少开裂,刨面光滑,供建筑、乐器、家具及细木工用材。树干挺直,树冠宽广,枝叶稠密,花虽小而多,美丽芳香,是优美的庭园观赏及行道树种。花可提取芳香油,种子榨油,供工业用。 |
