In consideration of the problem of low efficient development of conventional heavy oil in Bohai Oilfield, a virtual development technique is proposed to guide the creation of overall development schemes for undeveloped oilfields and adjust of developed oilfield.

As affected by oil/water viscosity and gravity,injected water can break through from highly permeable layer to lower position during water flooding process in conventional heavy oil block,thus bringing detrimental effect on water flooding.

Distribution of high-productivity wells in conventional heavy oil reservoir;

The analysis of collected data shows that the world crude oils are becoming increasingly poorer in quality,which is demonstrated by a great increase in heavy sulfur (high-sulfur) crude oil production and non-conventional crude oil supply.
